When it comes to your health, you can never be too careful. With the holidays coming up, there are plenty of things that can lead to health issues. Here are the Top 10 Tips to get you through the holidays with a clean bill of health:

1. Exercise

During the holidays, most people get tied up in company parties or gatherings with friends and family where all you do is eat rich foods and drink alcohol. To keep your health in check, make sure that you keep up your exercise. Try and stick to 30 minutes of exercise daily to keep the blood flowing and to combat the higher calorie intake of food you will most likely be consuming.

2. Monitor Your Stress Levels

Although the holidays can be a fun time for most, they are usually incredibly busy and can be stressful for some. Make sure you take a deep breath from time to time and remind yourself to relax during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

3. Flu Shot

With holiday shopping and crowded shopping malls, your exposure to germs is at a higher level than normal. While you can’t avoid all sicknesses, getting a flu shot could prevent some strains of the common flu.

4. Take Care of Yourself When You Are Sick

If you do happen to get sick, make sure you take the appropriate steps to get better as quick as possible. You don’t want to miss out on the fun holiday activities and you also don’t want to infect others by leaving your home too soon.

5. Don’t Overeat

It’s incredibly easy to chow down on some extra turkey or pie, but remember that when you overeat, you can do damage to your health. Your body isn’t used to that level of consumption, so when you do overeat, you can have serious stomach issues.
