Plank is a fairly simple but intense and effective isometric move that works your abdominal and back muscles. No equipment is needed for this exercise although a mat can be used for comfort. Using only bodyweight, planks can be a simple way to get a great core workout.Since planking engages more abdominal muscles than sit ups and crunches, it is more effective at building them.
